Perhaps we'll find out for sure if these rumours are true at The Game Awards a little later in the year - the show seems the perfect kind of place to announce a game like this, after all. Ultimate welcomes its final DLC character in Kingdom Hearts' Sora, it's certainly a good time to get in on the popular genre, as we've seen already with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl launching just a few weeks ago. Which already features both Adventure Time and Steven Universe crossovers, so that might be awkward. Reports seem to suggest that the fighter may be more like Brawlhalla than Smash, and that it could even follow in the free-to-play footsteps of the Ubisoft platform fighter. Character icons also sport numbers which could be character levels, as well as icons that seem to suggest play styles, hinting at brawler, weapon-based, mobile, ranged, and defensive character archetypes. The top-left slot in the image is seemingly an original character, but most of the others should be familiar to a lot of folks - Steven Universe, Batman, Harley Quinn, Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, Scooby Doo's Shaggy (star of many a WB fighting game meme already), Superman, Wonder Woman, Gandalf, Rick Sanchez (sans Morty), Bugs Bunny, and Tom & Jerry. If it is legit, we've got the makings of a pretty fun roster here already. on copyright grounds, so it seems like this might indeed be the real deal.

Adding to its credibility is the fact that Hungrybox's video on the topic (which showed and discussed the supposed leak) was quickly pulled by Warner Bros. Finn is an Assassin-type fighter and has plenty to offer to players. For those playing MultiVersus, as far as fan favorites go, Adventure Time’s Finn is one of the most used characters in the game thus far. These kinds of things get faked all the time, so keep that pinch of salt handy, but the relatively coherent art style certainly makes it feel believable enough. Players always have a favorite character they gravitate to when playing a game.

Many familiar faces from the Gaming Rumour Mill including Jeff Grubb and Nibellion have been teasing info about Multiversus for a little while now, but today, Smash pro Hungrybox took things a step further by posting what is apparently the character select screen from an early build of the fighter.
